Additionally, the Virginia Arts Festival is dedicated to cultivating the artistry within each child through educational outreach programming that annually touches the lives of over 30,000 students in our community. Exposure to the arts has many beneficial, well-documented effects on children’s lives, and the Festival is proud that reaching our youngest patrons is a central part of our mission.

Because ticket sales cover only one-third of the Virginia Arts Festival’s operating expenses, the annual fund plays a critical role in maintaining the level of success the Festival enjoys.
