About Laufey
“Laufey’s ascendency to major-league pop artist is one of the most heartening musical phenomena of the last couple of years… or should be, to anyone who has any particular affection for the sounds and songwriting styles of the Great American Songbook.” -Variety
The Icelandic-Chinese artist Laufey (pronounced lāy-vāy) loves Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald…and Taylor Swift. Her streaming stats continue to soar, with more than six million TikTok views and the most-streamed jazz debut on Spotify, ever. Her "Bewitched" album snagged a GRAMMY nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, and her holiday collab with Norah Jones, "Christmas With You," was a hit. Her live shows are instant sellouts. She’s classically trained, jazz-forward, pop-influenced, and entirely her own artist—one that’s making waves and winning new audiences for old songs like “Misty” as well as her own witty, irresistible songs. You’ll fall in love with this madly popular new singer.
