We are excited that Derrick Gardner is stepping in for Ken Peplowski, who is unable to perform due to illness. We wish Ken a full and speedy recovery, and we are truly grateful to welcome back Derrick, an extraordinary trumpeter, bandleader, and dynamic presence on any stage.

Derrick is an outstanding jazz trumpeter who has worked with many top artists in the world of jazz, performing with group's such as the Count Basie Orchestra, the Harry Connick band, and the Smithsonian Jazz Orchestra. Derrick was featured on the series several years ago, and it is great to have him back once again. Will be a great night of jazz." 

Derrick will join the John Toomey Trio on Saturday, November 15 at 7:30 pm at Norfolk's Attucks Theatre.
