When the azaleas are in bloom, Virginia's spring season is in full swing and the Virginia International Tattoo displays unforgettable charm and pageantry. Delight in the Norfolk NATO Festival Parade featuring beautiful flowers, marching bands, and floats. The Tattoo is a patriotic display of military splendor, with a cast of over 800 performers from drill teams to pipe and drum corps.

Day 1 – Discover one of the largest collections of azaleas, camellias, roses and rhododendrons on the East Coast at the Norfolk Botanical Garden. Experience 155 glorious acres of gardens with guided tours on foot, tram or by boat. The azaleas are in full bloom so do not miss such an important part of this annual festival!

Set sail on the American Rover, a 120-passenger sailing schooner, and learn about the history and current importance of the scenic Elizabeth River through a narrated two-hour cruise. Head back to port and enjoy fresh seafood and scenic river views at Striper's Waterside.

Day 2 – The morning is filled with the excitement of the Festival’s “Parade of Nations,” featuring international floats, marching bands and specialty units. Special seating is available for groups.

• Either before or after the parade, tour Nauticus, Hampton Roads Naval Museum and Battleship Wisconsin. Nauticus is a fun and exciting interactive science and technology center exploring the power of the sea. It features more than 150 exhibits, films and exotic aquatic life. The Hampton Roads Naval Museum, located inside of Nauticus introduces you to over 200 years of naval history in Hampton Roads. Located next to Nauticus, discover the Battleship Wisconsin, the largest and last battleship ever built by the US Navy.
• Lunch – After the colorful floats and splendid bands pass by in the parade, don’t miss the opportunity to explore NATO Nations and their diverse cultures at
  Norfolk NATO Festival’s International Village. Food and entertainment are just a few of the surprises in store for your guests! Your group can walk to this complimentary outdoor festival right from their hotel.
• Dinner – Dine at the Freemason Abbey Restaurant &Tavern. The congregation of the Second Presbyterian Church originally dedicated the structure as a church in 1873. In 1988, renovation began on the over 135-year-old
  church to refurbish the building into the restaurant it is today.
• Evening – Enjoy the Virginia International Tattoo which is part parade and part performance, featuring top military bands, precision drill teams, and massed pipes and drums.

Day 3 – Tour the Macarthur Memorial and discover the life and career of a five-star General of the Army. Located in downtown Norfolk’s restored 1850’s
City Hall, the complex contains a museum, theater and special exhibit galleries.

• After checking out of your hotel, head to Virginia Beach for a museum experience like no other. The Military Aviation Museum boasts the nation's largest fleet of operational WWI and WWII biplanes and triplanes. Explore each hangar, talk with the docents about the history of each plane, and don't forget to visit the gift shop!

Start your summer with a trip to Virginia Beach and the historic triangle of Jamestown, Yorktown, and Williamsburg. The festival’s lineups have included Kenny Loggins, Nora Jones, Sheryl Crow, the Beach Boys, and many more.

Day 1 – Stay in one of the many oceanfront hotels Virginia Beach offers. Soak up the sun, walk along miles of boardwalk, and enjoy fresh seafood. Take a scenic drive to the Military Aviation Museum which boasts the largest collection of flyable WWI and WWII triplanes and biplanes in the country. Get on the water for a dolphin-watching cruise or a kayak tour, or enjoy the Virginia Aquarium, Cape Henry Lighthouse, and First Landing State Park.

Day 2 – Head up to the historic triangle and visit the Jamestown Settlement, Colonial Williamsburg, and the American Revolution Museum. Check into a Williamsburg hotel head to the Lawn of the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg for the first night of Williamsburg Live!

Day 3 – Start the day with breakfast and shopping at Williamsburg Outlets. Explore the area’s great eateries, and have a refreshing drink with vineyard views at Williamsburg Winery, or check out the area’s many fine breweries. Get ready for another great evening of music under the stars.

Day 4 – Spend the day at Busch Gardens of Williamsburg, a 400+ acre amusement park featuring roller coasters and child-friendly rides in a beautiful setting. Head back to your hotel and get ready for the final night of music, food, and drink at Williamsburg Live!
